Parker Mackenzie

Well-timed screenshot of Parker as she is complaining about her sister going through all her stuff

Overview[]

Parker Mackenzie is a girl in Lizzie's class. She was portrayed by Chelsea J. Wilson. Lizzie believes that Parker hates her because she sneezed on her macaroni art in second grade[citation needed] and sat on her Titanic lunchbox in fifth grade,[1] but it is more likely that she simply envies Lizzie for her close relationship with Gordo who she has a crush on.[2] Parker is also an extreme environmentalist and a vegetarian, once scornfully calling Lizzie a "meat eater."[3]

Appearances[]

Picture Day[]

Parker has a skeptical look on her face when Lizzie says, "Maybe I could borrow something from you."

Parker is eating lunch in The Quad when Lizzie approaches her to ask to borrow her blouse. She declines and remarks that it's creepy for Lizzie to ask people for their clothes.

Obsession[]

Lizzie is eating lunch with Miranda at the Digital Bean when Parker sits down with them and praises the girls' recycling efforts. She goes on to talk about how nobody cares about the environment anymore and that the Earth is not a renewable resource until she realizes that the girls are eating burgers. Rhetorically, she asks how Lizzie could enjoy eating a "poor, dead animal" to which Lizzie responds that she "never thought of it that way." Thus, bemused and intending to voice her disapproval of Lizzie's eating choices, Parker calls Lizzie a "meat eater" and storms off. Lizzie, already beginning to become infatuated or "obsessed" with saving the planet, is convinced by Parker's words and plans to never eat meat again, saying "I think I just became a vegetarian."

Dear Lizzie[]

Parker asks Lizzie for advice on dealing with her little sister who intrudes on her privacy. She ends up following Lizzie's advice, and is satisfied when her sister is no longer able to bother her.

Parker’s Email[]

"Dear Lizzie,
My little sister is incredibly annoying. She goes through all my stuff, she listens in on my phone calls and is a total pain. But my parents think she's totally adorable. What do I do?
Signed,
I Want To Be An Only Child"

Lizzie’s Response[]

Dear Only Child,
Little sisters are always annoying, and you'll never get your parents to believe you. Get a lock for your room and look for an out-of-state college.
Good luck,
Lizzie

Crush on Gordo[]

In the cutaway, Parker's little sister gets a hold of her diary and reveals that Parker has a love interest in Gordo.

A Gordo Story[]

In the first scene of the episode, Parker watches intently as Gordo plays 2v2 basketball with Lizzie against Ethan Craft and Miranda. Gordo goes for a shot, but Ethan completely and utterly denies it. Nonetheless, Parker walks into the gym after the game and compliments Gordo's basketball skill while also acknowledging how badly he got denied. Motivated by Parker's compliment, Gordo decides to ask her out to the dance. In a manner similar to Ethan's denial of Gordo’s basketball shot, Parker turns Gordo's invite down. Lizzie asks Parker why she denied her friend, and she says that she doesn't want to go out with a short guy, effectively denying Gordo his self-esteem.

Gordo goes to the dance with Lizzie and Miranda, and Parker goes with Ethan. Parker, driven away by Ethan's erratic dance moves and unimpressive conversational ability, apologizes to Gordo and says that she should've went to the dance with him. Parker asks Gordo for a dance, and with Lizzie and Miranda's approval, the two enjoy one together. Miranda goes off to dance with Ethan. Lizzie is left alone and seems bothered and slightly jealous of Gordo and Parker's dance as the camera zooms out and the episode ends.
